At Rebecca Katz & Associates, treatment isn't one-size-fits-all — and Dr. Katz doesn't believe it should be. Some clients do best in individual therapy; others need their whole family at the table. Dr. Katz is the practice's eating disorder specialist, with particular expertise in presentations that don't fit the typical mold and the everyday hurdles that make eating feel hard.
She works closely with clients — and with their medical and nutritional providers — using evidence-based methods to build real, lasting skills around eating, body image, and self-confidence. Dr. Katz is proud to be part of the DMV's treatment community. Her patients don't just get treatment; they get someone fully in their corner.

Individual Treatment
Individual therapy offers one-on-one support as clients navigate life's changes and challenges — often through CBT-based work that explores the thoughts and coping patterns underneath eating behaviors, body image, and self-confidence. This might mean adjusting to a changing body, navigating midlife, or simply trying to feel more at home in yourself again. The goal isn't to return to who you used to be — it's to feel grounded, capable, and genuinely confident in who you are now.
Maudsley/Family-Based Treatment (FBT)
Empowering parents to take an active role in addressing their child's disordered eating. Family-based, or Maudsley, treatment for chilren with eating disorders aids in weight restoration and has allowed countless families to avoid hospitalzation. Sessions address meal struggles, nutrition support, and the emotional distress that comes with it.
